I sit on floors a lot at meetings.
Mostly this is so I can spread out when I'm reporting and shift around. I am not the best at sitting completely still in chairs and being an adult that way.
It's also because I was the youngest in the family and when I grew up there wasn't enough space on the couch or in the chairs so floors are comfortable for me.
It's also so that I don't insert myself into the story. I have a lot of thoughts during meetings and not the best poker face and in small communities that can influence things.
But mostly it is because I like being able to see the world from a slightly different perspective.
It's fun to look up, down, to the side, over your shoulder as well as straight ahead, to familiarize yourself with the dust bunnies on the floor, not just the people in the spotlights.
This is the cool view I had looking behind me and over my shoulder at a meeting this week.
Maybe this weekend you can explore other ways of sitting with things and looking at things too? But even if you are not into that, I hope you have a happy Friday and an amazing weekend!
