Me: They did.
Pogie: They thought that you should be as virtuous as you can in the moment.
Me: They did.
Pogie: Did they not ever feel the lure of barking at UPS drivers or cats, the longing for a really good biscuit?
Me:
Pogie: DID THEY NOT GET ZOOMIES? Did they not ever run around in circles? Did they not ever just lose it when their loved ones came home and get the wiggles and the happy chirrup barks of love.
Me:
Pogie:
Me: Pogie, why do you think Stoics weren't happy?
Pogie: Because they spent so much time thinking and worrying about how to be good in their one big life, how did they have time to actually just be good and joyous and stuff.
Me:
Pogie:
Me: You're talking about me, aren't you?
Pogie: Yep.
