Pogie: Hey, human. Why do you think some people only comment on things or have conversations to complain or to be mean?
Me:
Pogie: Seriously. Serious question.
Me:
Pogie:
Me: I think the thing is that you have to surround yourselves with people who don't only comment to create strife or complain. Like, you have to not focus on the people who are only mean and you have to realize that this meanness is all they do.
Pogie:
Me:
Pogie: The realizing is the hard part, isn't it?
Me: Yeah. Usually. But there are people out there who are kind, who lift others up, who think about policy and not just people, who want their complaints to be change-inducing and who also say kind things, too.
Pogie:
Me:
Pogie: Maybe they all just need long walks, cuddles, and some special treats?
Me: Maybe.
Pogie, some people have only know meaness in their lives, so being kind and uplifting is strange to them, so they stick with what is familiar. Just be kind to them because they might go home and cry tears of joy because someone loved them for a moment.
