For a lot of us writers there comes a time when we say, “Eh, that’s good enough, right?”

Daniel Levitin,  professor emeritus of psychology and behavioral neuroscience at McGill University, Montreal and founding dean of arts and humanities at the Minerva Schools at KGI in San Francisco, has a term for this:

Satisficing.

It’s part of how our brains don’t spend energy and resources on things or tasks that it shouldn’t need to. We go, eh.
