Seriously. Wow. We did something here.
We wrote and learned and maybe even submitted for the entire month. Every day we had an opportunity to think about writing, to explore our craft to become more skilled. Every day we saw a place where we could submit our story or poem or novel. And maybe we took a chance and hit SEND.
How cool is that?
Look at what you did!
You wrote. You explored. You got annoyed at my zombie hamster references, but hopefully, for this whole month, you thought of yourself as a writer.
You are a writer.
For five minutes every day or maybe even some more, you dedicated yourself to your literary life. It wasn’t that hard right?
SUPER STAR!
A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit ~ Richard Bach
Did you realize that was what you were doing? You were devoting moments every day to write! To be a writer.
And now you get to keep writing.
You should keep writing and keep learning, okay? I have two posts here a week on writing (yay!) and you can always come back to this month’s worth of exercises and prompts and tools. They are all right here. And I may do this again later in the year because it’s good for me, too.
Please remember this . . .
A writer is someone who writes. A writer is someone who sees. A writer is someone who creates.
You are a writer. You.
That’s super freaking cool and I am so proud of you.
Thank you for hanging out with me this month. I needed you.
There is no greater threat to the critics and cynics and fearmongers than those of us who are willing to fall because we have learned how to rise. ~ Brené Brown
